Founded by chef Jorge Saldana, Tlaloc—with its local farm-to-table ingredients, hand made tortillas, fresh salsa bar, big open space, and high ceilings—offers homemade traditional Mexican dishes, made to order with love.

Jorge founded his restaurants, Cancún and Tlaloc, and his line of products, Sabor Mexicano, on the belief that food should be made in a way that is to our benefit; it should be healthy for us and made using authentic, simple processes with whole food ingredients. Featuring Mexican family recipes passed down through generations, we pride ourselves on using local all-natural, pesticide-free produce, antibiotic-free meat, and only non-GMO products.

Organic Hand Made Flour Tortillas

We make our very own flour tortillas daily with fresh and organic ingredients.

Every morning, we make fresh Organic Hand Made Flour Tortillas at our sister restaurant, Cancún in Berkeley.

We use only 3 Organic Ingredients:

Flour, Salt, and Olive Oil.

It’s that simple.

Our handmade flour tortillas are made from scratch, they’re soft and pillowy, pliable yet sturdy, and make the best burritos.

There is nothing better than a warm, soft, and tender flour tortilla, but once you’ve tried a handmade one, it’s hard to go back.

Don’t leave without trying the best Salsa Bar in the financial district

In the spirit of Sabor Mexicano’s philosophy of “Farm to Table”, we are all about preparing handmade fired roasted salsas with few and simple ingredients that are healthy, tasty, and authentic, and we’ve been doing it for the last 30 years.
Part of what makes our homemade salsas so special is their natural taste, their full-bodied richness, authenticity that contains passion for flavor, love for cooking, and dedication to the highest quality.

Casera, Mango, Tomatillo, Tradicional, Chipotle, Pumpkin Seeds, and Infierno.
